About us
JBB Rechtsanwälte was founded in 1999 by three lawyers, and from these small beginnings it has meanwhile grown to a team of twelve. The areas our law firm specialises in include trademark law, competition law, copyright law, entertainment law, IT law and data protection law. In all of these fields we provide advisory services and conduct litigation for our clients.
Our aim is to develop successful strategies and work out reliable solutions that make sound business sense. This doesn’t always imply keeping rigidly to a conventional legal approach. But whatever option is ultimately chosen, we always start out by meticulously analysing the legal position.
We regard ourselves not simply as a law firm that is defined merely in terms of size, but as a team of lawyers that knows how to specifically focus each of its individual skills on the particular matter at hand. Working as a team not only guarantees that we cater for all our clients’ various needs: it also ensures a continuous exchange of know-how amongst ourselves contributes to a steady build-up of additional skills.
This team approach is reflected in another wider context, too. Rather than covering fields other than those in which we ourselves are highly specialised, we opt in the interests of our clients to cooperate with other lawyers in areas for which they are duly equipped, as well as with chartered accountants and tax consultants.
In the JUVE Handbook 2009/2010, our law firm is both listed and recommended in the nationwide ranking of law firms that are competent in “Information Technology” and “Unfair Competition”.
Numerous publications bear witness to our expertise, and lawyers on our team are frequently invited to address law conferences and other professional events. In 2008, our law firm’s sound reputation in the IP field led to one of our partners being appointed a member of the DAV founding committee for a study group on “Intellectual Property and the Media”, and he has subsequently been elected the study group’s chairman.
Even though our law firm has developed vigourously over the past few years to become what it is now, we’ve been intent all along on keeping a lean structure to avoid unnecessary costs. That’s another aspect in our clients’ interests, and we’re pleased to let them benefit from it.
