Carsten Kiefer

Carsten Kiefer was admitted to the Bar in 2008, and he has since been working for JBB Rechtsanwälte. He mainly caters for business clients, representing them in and out of court in matters involving competition law and IT law.

Publications

Carsten Kiefer has already published some articles, and in 2008 he was invited to hold a talk at the CeBIT trade fair.

Professional Training

Carsten Kiefer studied jurisprudence in Freiburg, taking “Intellectual Property Rights and Copyright” as his special subject and graduated in 2005. Since his time at university, Carsten Kiefer focuses on the legal aspects of intellectual property and regularly attends conferences and seminars on the subject.

From 2005 to 2007, Carsten Kiefer worked as an academic assistant to Prof. Dr. Maximilian Haedicke in the IP department of the Institute for Commercial Law, where he used the opportunity to continue extending his knowledge of this particular field of law.

From 2006 to 2008 Carsten Kiefer was posted as a trainee lawyer at Freiburg District Court, and he also spent periods working in the legal department of the publishing house Heise Zeitschriften Verlag in Hannover and at JBB Rechtsanwälte in Berlin, where he was able to further pursue his chosen specialisation.
