Dennis Gehnen LL.M.

Dennis Gehnen was admitted to the Bar in 2005 and  joined JBB Rechtsanwälte in February 2006.

His work mainly focuses on trademark law, covering the entire range of legal issues, including the registration process, all sorts of licensing matters and litigation. Dennis Gehnen advises many new media clients, covering national as well as international matters (domain conflicts, use of trade marks on the Internet, etc.).

Apart from this, Dennis Gehnen also focuses on competition and contract law. He advises both small traders and larger businesses on matters relevant under company and labour law, and provides assistance with drafting standard terms and conditions, mainly for application in e-commerce.

Professional Training

Dennis Gehnen studied law in Osnabrück and Berlin. After graduating in 2001 he first worked in the Berlin office of a German law firm specialising in commercial law.

During his legal clerkship, Dennis Gehnen worked inter alia for UFA Film & TV Produktions GmbH in Babelsberg, Germany, and a law firm in Naples, Italy. Afterwards, he took part in the post-graduate LL.M. Programme in Intellectual Property of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) held at the University of Turin. His master’s thesis was on territorial aspects of trademark infringement on the Internet.
