Dr. Lina Böcker
Dr. Lina Boecker was admitted to the German bar in 2011 and joined JBB Rechtsanwälte in 2013. Since 2017, she is a partner of the firm. Before joining JBB, she worked for a middle sized Corporate Law boutique in Berlin.
Dr. Boecker advises middle sized and big companies in the fields of IT- and Corporate Law. In particular, her fields of expertise comprise the founding of companies, the contractual set-up for small and middle sized transactions and the design of web presencies in conformity with the law.
With regard to IT-Law, Dr. Boecker develops and designs contracts for the making available of software in any way, in particular with regard to the licensing of software. Further, Dr. Boecker advises during IT-transactions of any form, in particular with regard to the designing and drawing of the relevant agreements. Moreover, Dr. Boecker supports her clients with regard to the design of web presencies compliant with German law.
Dr. Boeckers advice in Corporate law includes the choice of the best legal form and structure during the founding and/or restructuring of companies. Further, she advises her clients in general corporate law questions such as the creation of company statutes and during the preparation and execution of shareholder meetings. Her fields of expertise include the advice and support during mergers and acquisitions on both the seller and the purchaser side, including the development of a transaction structure and the drafting of the relevant documentation and the execution of the transaction.
Further, Dr. Boecker advises artists and agencies in the music industry with regard to copyright and salary law (such as GEMA) and contract design and - execution.
Naturally, the work of Dr. Boecker includes court proceedings on both the paintiff's and the defender's side.
Lina Boecker studied in Berlin and completed her state exams here. During her PHD on the legal protection of computer programs, she worked as an academic assistant at the Institute for German and European Economic, Competition and Regulatory Law at Freie Universität Berlin (Prof. Dr. Dr. Saecker), where she worked for the Center for Digital Systems (CeDiS) as a legal advisor.
During her studies, Lina Boecker also worked for international law firms in London and Brussels.
